| I am nearly 20 years old and I still remember seeing this book read on Reading Rainbow when I was very young. This book was an excellent introduction to the idea of homeless children for children with homes and would definitely make a child who is homeless not feel alone. I am going to be a social worker and play therapist, and this book is on my list for books to get in the future. | My 9 year-old has read all the books in this series and has enjoyed them all ! The author does a great job of combining facts from history intertwined with his character that travels back in time. These books have led to much discussion with my child about some of the facts brought forward in the books.

| I'm doing a wonderful unit on the gingerbread boy with my first graders and this was one of the recommended books. I buy many books from Amazon, but my mouth dropped open at the price of this one. It's not available at our public library either. What a shame, especially after reading the other great reviews! |
