| Ribsy is one of Beverly Cleary's series on the children of Klikitat Street in Portland Oregon. It is pure 50's childhood and very entertaining. I use this as an independent reading selection for groups of my fourth grade ESL students. They can easily read it on their own, helping one another on the vocabulary, and they stay interested. | This book is very nice. It's sturdy which is great for busy hands and mouths. The glow in the dark part of it isn't the best, it's hard to see in the dark but they love it. My boys are 10 months old and love the thick cardboard "board" books and they hold up to all that they put their toys and books through. It is a rather small book, but it's perfect to throw in the diaper bag or take with to grandma and grandpas! |

| My grandsons thoroughly enjoy these books. They have excellent messages, and keep them entertained. They hardly even realize they're doing school work. They've used these books in book reports. One of them has a learning disability, so they're especially useful for him. |

| I was pleased with the content of this book. I bought it for my seven year old, although the minimum age recommendation is eight. We wanted something that was age-appropriate, that worked within our religious boundaries, and not lame. The pictures are fun and do not give graphic detail. There is a section on erections and semen, which is uncomfortable, but was written in a way that I could read it with my son, in an upbeat manner (making it "not a big deal"). | My son was very disturbed about where the parents were. She wanted to know if the parents were mean and why they didn't love their own daughter. Yikes. I had never read Eloise before, but had heard it was cute. I guess it had its moments, but I do feel sorry for Eloise. |

| I first read this book in grade school with the help of my mom. I remember it fondly as a heroic tale with a sad ending. I remember the illustrations vividly.
I walked past this book at the book store recently and was thrilled to see it and remember how much I had enjoyed it. I read it that night. In all honestly, I was greatly disappointed. | Monster, by Walter Dean Myers, is to say the least an interesting book. The stories protagonist, Steve, is put on trial for murder because he "aided in a robbery that led to the murder". The book is written mostly in a format for a movie, for Steve writes the movie script to help him cope with the trial and the trauma that is occurring inside of him. In the end, Steve is found innocent and released, but Myers is never clear if Steve really did assist in the robbery, leaving the reader to have to choose for themselves ... Read More: |

| Travel Team is a great book to read. It is about a kid who is shorter than everybody else but does not give up. The boy's name id Danny Walker and he loves basketball. He would put basketball before everything. He would always pratice in his driveway. Danny tried out for the basketball team called the vikings but they said he was too short.
