| Wow, what a great book! It has tons of experiments, jokes and indoor and outdoor activities that are fun and sometimes educational. Now, it must be admitted that some of the entries are a little gross (see "Pooping and Peeing" on page 74), but it must be admitted that boys find such things terribly funny.

| it was a great book, about a clash between "greasers" and "socs" and it follows what happens to the main character, Ponyboy. The book was impossible to put down and it even made me cry a little at times, but thats what a good book will do to you. I recommend this for teens because it has some violence and other things you may expect to find in a book about fights between gangs. This is a wonderful story of friendship and tragedy. |

| This book was perfect for our son who just turned 10 and was starting puberty. It answered every single question he may have wanted to ask us but was too embarrassed or afraid. I would recommend this book to every mother/parent who has a son & would recommend that you read it first. Some of the content will be a review for your son - other content will be new!! I am so glad I found this book- it really explained what was happening to his body. Everthing from pimples, shaving, jock itch, etc. |

| My 8 year old son 1st 4 in the Encyclopedia Brown books by Donald J. Sobol for Christmas but has yet to have read them. We discovered that they are "new" and the Volume 1-4 is different than the "old" Volume 1-4. He has loved these books. They are titled Boy Detective, Case of the Secret Pitch, Finds the Clues, and Gets His Man. As an extra bonus he was delighted to find out that his father had read these books too. |

| The American Boy's Handy Book by Daniel Beard is a guide book for boys. It includes directions for knots, kite building, camping without a tent, and how to build a snow fort, just to name a few. The book was originally published in 1882 and is filled with black and white drawings. While I think it's wonderful to introduce young boys to the joys of the outdoors, they will have some difficulty with the language of the book.
