| STUMPTOWN KID is superb. The plotting, characterizations, and evocation of period are wonderful. I also think this story has the makings of a great family movie as it has the all-ages appeal of a true classic. I found it compelling, moving and thrilling. |

| This was a great book because my great grandfather lost his eye in an accident when he was little, so it was like reading his story but different. Since I like playing baseball, it was a real blast for me. You should buy this book because your child would love the experience of reading a book thats based on the authors husbands life. |

| My 3yo son loved this book immediately. He asks for it to be read over and over. He also loves Edward in the Jungle by the same author. I think he can really relate to "losing" himself in a story. The dark moody illustrations were a put off to me the first time I read it but then I think it adds to the mystery. My son doesn't seem to have trouble seeing the pictures. |

| I was very eager to get my hand on this book. And I zipped though it, unable to put it down. It really lived up to Sherwood's style, that is for sure!
I'm very much in love with her Marloven world now. I want to read more about them and I'm eager to know what happened now between Inda's story and Senrid's. I'm very aware that this story was about Danric...but I was somewhat disappointed toward the end when it seemed everything was rushed or cut short. | Just got a few of this series for my 8 year old and he is reading about 1 a day and has asked for more of them. They are admittedly short but my son has been a resistant reader and loves these!! So keep them coming!! |

| Lord of The Fies is a must read story that i would reccomend to anyone. It makes you think about our culture, society, and government. It gives a great insight into the inner savegrey of man. I like books that make you think. Golding's use of imagery and symbolism help make this book one you can't put down. |
