It's a story I've read many times, but I did specifically want the cover that is pictured with this item (to match the others I have in the series), and that's not what I got. Very disappointed, a complete waste of money on my part, but not worth returning by the time I pay for interational shipping.

Books : Wayside School Is Falling Down
Do you like funny stories about school? How about books on zany teachers? If your answer is "yes" then this is totally the book for you! With 30 wacky stories, Wayside School is Falling Down, by Louis Sacher, is one of those `hard-to-put-down' books. The story all starts when the architect who built the school built it with 30 classrooms on top of each other instead of side-by-side. If you think that's a weird beginning, try imagining a teacher teaching her class to make pickles, a girl who saves a boy's ... Read More:

Emily makes new friends, grows, and even has a few love intrests, despite her young age.

The only problem I had with this book ... Read More:

I thought the book was really good. I was so tempted to read more at the end! I thought the book was really sad when the Taliban took Parvana's father. But, I think it was really thoughtful when the guys were helping her father up the steps.

They don't seem to require reading classic literature in the schools any more, so I decided to build a library for my 12-year old granddaughter. She has read them all, including this one, so it wasn't a bad idea. Now, if I could just get her to call her old grandfather more often....

Books : Heidi
This book is one of my all time favorite stories! It is about a little girl who goes to stay with her "mean" grandfather high in the Swiss mountains. She thrives in the mountain air and shares a special love with her grandfather. She is later taken away to live in Frankfurt with a wealthy family as a companian for a sick little girl, but being away from her grandfather and mountain air makes Heidi so homesick she actually becomes physically ill. She finally is able to return to her mountain and is part of a miracle that takes place there. This ... Read More:

I am a huge Jacques fan and think that Triss while not being his greatest work is one of his best and certainly his funniest. This book is hysterically funny and will keep you laughing hard just to think of some of the things. especially the freebooters and thier theme song
