| Delightful stories of the Hundred-Acre Wood and all of its lovable characters. Pooh and friends have quite a few adventures (or misadventures) in this collection of Winnie-the-Pooh stories. The stories remind me of childhood, making them special each time I reread them. I wouldn't even be able to choose my favorite chapter in this book -- each one is full of wonder, laughter, and Pooh. |

| The book is about a wonderful dog named Old Yeller. The book is a little too violent with things such as: bull fights, hog attacks, etc., but the good deeds of the dog Old Yeller make this story seem special. In the beginning the dog did not seem so good. He did things like bark, yell, and steal meat, but then the good part comes out when he saves lives. | First off, let me clarify in my personal response that I've never been a fan of the historical fiction genre. Historical fiction books bore me, and they never seem to contain the excitement found in contemporary fiction. Sarah, Plain and Tall, while more character-centric than most historical fiction books, still just didn't catch my interest. | My 3-year old recently discovered Madeline. While this book did not become a favorite, it was read several times. It's over-sized, so not as easy for small hands- she has to put it on the floor or on a table to look at it as opposed to in her lap. |

| I love the Laura books, I can remember my mother reading them to me when I was young. Since then, I've read then again and it never ceases to delight me.
My only complaint though, is that the illistrations are pathetic. They don't even look real, so I had a hard time seeing Laura as a real person. For me, when I see lifelike drawings, it really makes get in touch with their character. The drawer, Garth Williams, is someone I wouldn't want to be doing my book! | I give this book an okay because it was good but not great. i think the ather could of gave a bit more detail ,but not a whole lot. The auther could of gave a little more back round agout the family and Timothy. Timothy I could understand the aurther wanting him to be a mystery ,but he coud of gave a little more back round. Besides these comentets about the Cay I think the rest of the story was Fantastic. The story stayed to the story and the emotion between the chariters was great. |

| I purchased this for my 8 year old daughter as a birthday gift per her repeated requests. She already had Farmer Boy, and chose this as her next Little House CD. She and her 12 year old sister both love these. We've read Little House books as a family, but now they can listen over and over.
This is a good CD. Cherry Jones' performance is excellent, and the fiddle music adds a wonderful touch for those who wish they could have heard Pa's fiddle. As for the story, who doesn't like Laura Ingalls Wilder's classic stories of pioneer ... Read More: |

| I guess I did not read the description carefully, because I assumed the CD came with the books to look at while listening. So after it arrived, I ordered all the books as well.
As for the CD, I think the reader presents the story a little to quickly for very young listeners, not giving them enough time to contemplate the thoughts presented in the dialog. I would prefer she read it slower. Her voice is a bit raspy, and she does not sing the songs, instead recites them as a poem.
