| My granddaughter and grandson both enjoy these books. Sometimes it is hard to find the exact book they want. Thank goodness they are numbered in the series so we can keep track of them. They devour them so fast. |

| This CD has great audio quality and great content. My girls like it just fine. I didn't give it 5 stars because I feel, as a native Chinese Madarin speaker, some of the musical arrangements are kind of weird. Also, some of the nursery rhymes that I grew up with are butchered (either incomplete or completely changed). But overall, it's a great first CD for the little ones to be exposed to the language. |

| Smitten: A Long Time Ago...in a Far Away Land... I finished the Amber Spyglass. With the first book, Golden Compass I was hooked. The action, adventure, and twists of the Golden Compass and then the Subtle Knife put me anxiously into the final book, The Amber Spyglass.

| The kids like to listen to it, but not enough to want to commit to memory. I guess it's just not catchy enough! Ie. Sesame street had a skit on one episode where they sing "you say, 'me llamo'...". It was catchy, so it made it easy to remember. I think I'm going to keep looking for something like that. This cd covers ALOT in 30 min- ie. food nouns, introducing one's self, how to say "i'm thirsty, i'm hungry" verb conjugation of comer (to eat)and hablar (to talk or speak), pronouns, the weather... | Gary Paulsen "paints with words" as he writes a descriptive story about a fifteen year old boy contending with his parent's divorce. This book is rivoting. The reader wants to read on as a young boy learns through discovery about how to survive in the Canadian wildernes. I read this book to my students and they were lined up in the library to check out Gary Paulsen books. Gary Paulsen writes passionately with no holes barred, which is what makes the story believable, exciting and compelling. |

| I love this book, but I wasn't halfway through the introduction when I realized how painful it would be to have the author read it to me. He sighs and breathes heavy in the middle of sentences, speaks in a monotone voice, and makes all the characters sound the same, which makes it hard to tell who is saying what during the book's argument scenes.
