| Wow, this book is AMAZING!! Of all the Land of Elyon books, this is the best! Patrick Carman never fails to surprise readers as they dig through his books. I don't want to tell you much about this book (you need to read it yourself!), but it is truly amazing. Alexa finds her calling on the world at the end. That is all I will say. I highly recommend this book to all who love adventure books! |

| My daughter's (4 & 5) love this CD. They will listen to it over and over. I enjoy listening to them laugh at each of the cute stories included on this CD. |

| I'll start off by pointing out one major, and what should be an obvious detail. Good golly gravy people it's a fantasy, not non-fiction!
I'm a little shocked by some of the comparisons people are making with this book. Seriously. It's not like Elsewhere has become the staple reading material of a college/university or something. | A friend recently recommended this as a new series I could read with my six-year-old daughter. We had already read all of Little House on the Prairie, as well as some children's novels, including Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little.
We love these books. The main characters, Betsy and Tacy, are just about five years old when they meet, so my daughter instantly related to them. She loved hearing about how they liked to sit on their bench at the top of the hill, make up stories and get into mischief. One ... Read More: |

| Being a child I loved her story about Phoebe, Ben, Mrs.Cadaver, and her trip to Lewiston, Idaho. I almost cried at the end of the story when Sal visits her mother's grave and when Gram dies.

| Excellent series for reading by 6-7th graders, needs some attention to detail. Book in great shape, I would have considered it like new, or new. |

| This book is a nice mixture of genres. From mythological to real people, the story has them all and remains interesting from beginning to end. For the age targeted the book is not too long and isn't a hard read for a child to read and understand. Depending on the age of child it is good to either read it to them or have them read it on their own and discuss the story with them. |

| This is an excellent book that highlights the role of identifying early strenghts in children for future academic/professional success.
The author suggests that all parents should be the first to seek those natural abilities in their child and look for ways to enrich their development. | The book is more light-hearted than Shannon Hale's previous books, perhaps because this book's main character is a bit of a scamp. The book was enjoyable but didn't quit grab me the way her other books have.
The pacing and world-building were very good. The characters were engaging and changed realistically throughout the book. The romance in the story develops slowly.
