| I've listened to Adventures in Odyssey for almost my whole life. (because im actually 11.) I was so excited when I looked on Amazon and saw that there was a new one coming out. I asked my mom to buy it, and when it came I spent most of the day up in my room listening to it. But I think this disk set is a good one to listen with the whole family. There isnt any really scary parts of this set. My only negative comment is that the first episode of the first disk is kind of boring but, listen to it anyway. ... Read More: |

| I loved Just So Stories as a child, and the stories are - for the most part - still really wonderful. Be aware if you are buying this for someone, however, that some of the stories are less than flattering to minorities and one of the stories does use the word "nigger," so this is definitely a book for someone who is old enough to talk to about language and what's appropriate and so on. |

| Much to my surprise, this was every bit as good as the first one. The interweaving of the girls' mothers as a parallel Sisterhood was very effectively done, and never more so than when the Traveling Pants almost blurred the distinction between the two groups (I won't say more so as to keep from spoiling a very good scene). Bridget's rediscovery of her mother and reconstruction of herself is the best and most emotionally powerful of the story threads, although all are generally well-done.

| Story was great -- but the reader, very poor. Reader tried to imitate voices - making the characters come off very goofy and irrating. A consistant voice telling the story would be strongly preferred. |

| Life in the 1800's in the woods sure is different than it is here. I bet if that family ever came here they would be amazed. Heck, if I ever had to shoot guns or collect sap from trees I would fall asleep during it. Pa is my favorite character. He goes into town to get supplies and hunts at night what about those stories? My favorite part is when Pa is alone in the woods at night and he thinks he sees a bear but it is really a tree. | Another series killer, though at least (unlike Goodkind) the first several books of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series were fun little supernatural mysteries.
Literally no plot, though there were a couple of strands of something that might have become a plot if the author had bothered to develop them. | The fisrt of the Alex Rider series, and in my opinion the best book. Its the only Alex Rider book that as a back ground story, Alex Uncle is killed and we learn how his housekeeper raises him. Its set in the Cornish tin minesAlex makes a great agent. The book is 10 times better than the film. I will read the whole Anthony Horowitz Alex Rider series now. |
