| The BFG is the Big Friendly Giant whose values get him in a heap of trouble among bigger and not-so-friendly giants. My kids LOVE this story that we originally borrowed from the library. When I saw amazon's great price, I had to buy 2. One for us and one to gift away. Roald Dahl is at his best here and as a teacher, I enjoyed pondering the potential geography lesson applications from this story. No matter why you buy it the book is loaded with teachable moments and lots of heart. |

| I read this for a young adult lit class and absolutely fell in love with the blatant charm of the old-school small-town charm and the subtle heart that pervades even the brashness of the characters.
This is for fans of all of Peck's coloquial writing, though I'm sure it might annoy a few who would rather have their stories dark and serious. Still, I can't help but be fond of it, and it's hard to see a guy write a girl's mind as well as Mr. Peck can. |

| I bought the Geronimo Stilton collection for my granddaughter and we listened to the 3 CDs at least 4 times already. I even listen to the great stories when I'm not with my granddaughter. The narration is great for all ages. |

| A beatifully written and illustrated book that while capturing a young child's attention will be quietly teaching time tested principles. Every parent, grandparent and elementary school classroom should have a copy. Learning the principles at an early age will lead to greater success later in life and this starts the teaching of the principles in the truly formative years. |

| My two sons (5-year old and 4-year old) have enjoyed this book now for a couple years. They see themselves as "little bears" and enjoy adding their own imagination to the book's storylines.
I really liked the "Birthday Soup" chapter best and have used it to teach my sons that no matter how little you have, you always have enough to share. | Eoin Colfer needs to stop. No, really. This book disappointed me to no end. I simply adored the first book. I mean, how cool is it to be rooting for the bad guy for a change? But then, Colfer began making Artemis a completely different character. He made Artemis come over to the good side. NO WAY! Bring back the criminal Artemis of old! This book was just plain weird. If I were you, I would read to book four or so, then stop. It all goes down hill from there |

| My 15 year old son was hooked on these when he was younger and now my 8 year old daughter loves them too. We listen to them on car trips, while waiting to pick someone up, at bedtime. The stories are all great and have great messages. Thanks! |

| C. S. Lewis gave us a timeless adventure that never grows old. I have the book, read it many times, but wanted it in audio, to listen as I crochet. The story is fresh each time I read or listen. This is great to take on a trip, to listen while in the car. You are never too old to hear it again and again. Michael York is fantastic as the reader for the audio. He really brings the story to life in a very real way. |
