| Although I admire Mr. Krugman as one of the great economic thinkers of our time, I think he misses the point, on several accounts, vis-a-vis our current economic crisis.

| The title is intriguing, but once you open the book, you will be most disappointed. The writing is poorly crafted, the main character too naive for words. I think this book must have somehow slipped past the copy editors--it reads like someone's first attempt at a book, where a kindly editor should have handed it back with lots of red pencil markings. | I bought and read this book in 1 day. I just couldn't put it down! Its witty, funny, and overall just a great read! I wonder what she did with marriage proposal?? I loved this book. And the cover is hilarious! |

| This is an excellent book and is very entertaining to read. It starts by explaining the beginning of time (big bang), and then goes chronologically from there explaining pretty much every aspect of the history of the universe and the Earth.

| Nutshell review - This is a really great book - one of my favourites. Mlodinow writes an intelligent and elegant book on how random events in our lives play a much larger role than what we usually give credit to. Random events account for more than our innate ability and skills and we should be thankful for those random events that have a positive impact on our lives. This is an excellent book written in a very accessible style. 6 stars. |

| I have tried quite a few recipes from this book and have found that they are rather tasty. So many low cal, carb etc. cook books are a waste of time. But this one is a winner. To think I can have onion rings again and they tasted very good. I can't wait for the next cookbook that she writes. I belong to Weight Watchers and love that the points are calculated on line for me. How easy is that. |

The author spends too much time making her beliefs sound like facts in some areas (like against co-sleeping and for "crying it out") and then pandering to both sides (like bottle feeders and breastfeeders) in other areas in an obvious attempt to sacrifice the best baby advice for coddling to readers who may not have gone the path that's best for baby and don't want to feel bad about it. The advice is more along the lines of my mother's generation than the current practices and research that is so much more ... Read More: |
