| I can't emphasize how good the three stories within this book are. Not only do they entertain my 4 year old (we read this book almost every night) but I can't wait to read this book as well. All three stories share a theme - arrogance, jealousy, and ignorance are all for not. Entertaining both visually and verbally - a must have for your child's collection. |

| Robert Sabuda is a master of the pop-up book and this is the second one I purchased of an adaptation of a famous children's story, and once again it does not dissapoint.
A good telling of the story combined with some incredible pop-ups, the one of the Emerald City makes you feel like you are in the story. | Of all the Dr. Seuss books I have from my childhood, I hadn't seen this until browsing on Amazon. This is great! (not that I'm surprised coming from the Seuss line). I had a blast reading it, and it's the first book my new daughter has seemed to actually respond to. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a "new read". |

| My children---ages three and five---request this book over and over all through the year and quote it on numerous occasions. It's one that I truly don't mind reading over and over as well. The incredibly colorful illustrations are fantastical and yet the small, wondering boy who experiences all these grand events somehow keeps them almost believable. | While i can understand the usefulness of this book for parents of adopted children, when i was little i thought it was just AWFUL!
I always hated that book, and it made me terrified of getting lost and not being able to find my mother (not that i was ever in any danger of being out of her sight for 1 minute...).
