| This quickly became my favorite Dr. Suess when it first came out. I couldn't find it available everywhere. I then discovered it on Amazon and it's one of my favorite children's gifts. It's not all fluffy, it speaks to every mood and I love the non traditional art work in the book. |

| My wife and I enjoyed reading this book to our kids, 4 and 6. They laughed out loud at the picture of the pink bath bubbles getting out of hand. The story also sends a good message for families--try to see things from the other family members' point of view and try to have some sympathy for them. The fact that Mama and Papa Bear get so tired that they fall asleep while trying to put their cubs to bed is very cute and true to life. | I think we'll have to buy some more copies of this story, my son makes us read it at least 4 - 5 times a week to him. He loves firefighters (and George of course) so this is a perfect fit.
I've noticed some of the newer stories "inspired" by Margaret and H.A. Rey -- this is one of their originals / classics.
