| This is a great board book and touchy feely book for age 8 to 9 months and up. I would even buy it for as young as 3 months old. It's sturdy, durable, colorful, beautifully illustrated. This book has won the Parent's Guide Award. They learn about the different textures and love looking at the pictures. A plus to this book is that there is a mouse hidden in the pages that they can look for. It gives them great satisfaction when they see it. | My baby really likes this book. My only wish is that the animals written names were consistent with the adult animal name (there is a kitten, a calf, some chicks, etc.) It really isn't a big deal, seeing as how he can't read and by the time he can read he will understand that babies are referred to by different names than adults. Overall, the pictures are nice, colors are vibrant, a great book. |

| Lynley Dodd books are a favorite for both my son and myself. we found this book at a local borders but they are very hard to find. i like that the vocabulary rolls off your tongue but is adult enough not to be boring. it is a rhyming book which i do prefer as it sounds musical. my son at 2 was mesmerized by the stories and illustrations. at 4 these books are still his favorite! |

| I bought several copies of this in 2003 as Christmas presents, and kept one for my new-born 2nd child. I have been singing this every night for 5 years to both my 5 and 6 yr old, and there's no end in sight. These lyrics are so comforting & wholesome, and the pictures so warm and memorable. I'm compelled to add yet one more 5 star rating to the many already here! |

| THis story is classic. I use this book so much that I have to retire my old copy and replace it with a new one every couple of years. It is a fabulous vehicle for storywriting in the primary classroom. |

| A friend gave us this book when my daughter was newborn. She loved it because of the bold contrasted pictures when her vision wasn't that clear. Now that she is 6 months old, she loves it every night before bedtime. I tickle her on the tickling pages and kiss her when the duck kisses its baby. She anticipates each page and giggles out loud while touching the animals. She carefully stares at each page. | My daughter loves lift-a-flap books, and Karen Katz's are great. She has really enjoyed reading this new book which thankfully has replaced reading Where Are Baby's Easter Eggs? every day. |
