| The books in this series are among our favorite. My daughter is 2 1/2 and request that we read "Russell" almost every night. Adorable stories, AMAZING illustrations. I recommend all of the books - check out Russell and the Lost Treasure and the Christmas edition, too. Very cute, very loved at our home. |

| I am so picky when it comes to children's books, and this one is absolutely perfect. Fantastic illustrations, beautiful story. My almost two year old wanted me to just read it over and over, and she's clearly very enchanted by it, as am I. |

| This is one of our favorite books.
The chaos caused by the monsters (more sensitive kids might get upset, I suppose, but my nieces don't) is done in a funny way, and the fact that the BIRTHDAY MONSTER CLEANING CREW! fixes everything at the end makes it all better. Very catchy text, really funny illustrations. Perfect for a kid's first or second birthday. |

| As I child, this story was read to me, then I read this to our son, sadly, after he "out grew" these books, they were passed on. Happily, after searching all over I found these treasures on Amazon and now have a new collection for our beautiful grand daughter to enjoy. |

| If you're looking for the story about Hermie, the Abdominal, Yukon Corneilius and the Island of Misfit Toys, this is NOT your book! This book is the original story written in 1939. It is written in poetry form and it is beautiful. It is very well illustrated and a definite keeper. My kids loved this book even though the local heroes weren't in it. I would buy it as a keepsake if nothing else. It's well worth the money. |
