| We bought this book for our daughter a few months before we bought her "big girl bed." She enjoyed the book, but it wasn't one of her favorites to read and I'm not sure it really made any difference in whether or not she transitioned to the big bed better or not. She was more excited to be getting a big bed just like her best friend and never really referred to the story in this book when she spoke about the big girl bed. So it wasn't bad - but it wasn't great, either. |

| If you are the parent of a young child, you probably know who Maisy is. She's a mouse with a duck, a squirrel, an elephant, and a crocodile for friends. Why the crocodile isn't trying to eat the others is beyond me, but that's life in Maisy's world. Both of my daughters love the Maisy books; there's something about their simple stories and colorful pictures that even appeals to adults. The books are short and easy to read. | A good friend of mine introduced me to Maisy books when I was pregnant with my first child. I have spread the wealth to all the other new moms in my acquaintance. Babies and toddlers LOVE these books. The characters are sweet, the illustrations are appealing, and the flaps are so much fun! Best of all, they are reasonably priced, so they are a good addition to baby shower gift bags. Note: make sure when you purchase that you get "lift the flap" books. | This is a super cute phonics book. When you read this to them, they hear it, they see it and they will make the connection. Talk to them about the words also when you are reading to them. Pretty soon they will be reading it to you. |

| My toddler class absolutely loved this book! I found myself reading it over and over and over to them. They loved the rhythm..they'd even get up and dance while I sang it to them (because hey! you just have to sing it!) I may need to buy a new copy for next Christmas..this one is almost worn out! |

| My little one loves kitties and he love to find things in illustrations, so I thought this would be the perfect combination. I was wrong. The illustrations were unimaginative and very small, making it difficult to actually find the kitten on some pages. And the text was really no fun to read. Add to that some very strained rhymes and it's a book we've rarely taken off the shelf and my son never reaches for on his own. |

| This is a great book for babies age 8 to 9 months and up. It introduces baby to different animals and animal sounds. They learn the names of the animals and you can talk to them about the difference between the animals and the way they sound and other fun things. It holds up to little fingers and hands to prevent tearing. Buy it new if your baby puts things in his mouth. It's beautifully illustrated, colorful and so cute. |

| Jeez Alborough has a series of Bear books and this is my favorite. It is bright and cheerful and a great one to read out loud. It is sing-songy so it is perfect for young children. There are many voice choices to play with and children enjoy getting involved in this story. The squeals of delight jump off the page when Eddie and Bear realize that their teddies don't talk. I laughed and laughed along with them until my tummy was sore. |
