| We read this book constantly. It has been a great way to teach my 28 month old not to be afraid of going to the doctor and getting shots, etc. It has really worked for us. I think because she loves Corduroy so much she can relate. It is a great book. |

| We have all 4 of these Helen Oxenbury books. They have been great favorites around here.
The illustrations are simple but sweet. They depict things babies usually do. There are just enough words on each page so the baby has time to look the pictures but not get bored. I like that the images are multi cultural even though the books are not specifically about diversity. I will say I think these books are most appropriate for babies and young toddlers. Each page shows a truck in action and tells what it does - demolishing, lifting, etc. Moveable parts, not just the usual flaps, make this a much more interactive book than you might expect.
