| This is the well-known and loved five little ducks story, but the artwork is absolutely charming and my daughter loves to notice new details each time we read it. Definitely a book that will get read and re-read, but you won't tire of it since it is so beautifully done. |

| Just wanted to pass along that this book is only approximately 3" wide by 6" long. When it arrived, I was very surprised to find out that the book was so small. |

| Derek Anderson is one of my favorite book illustrators, and how wonderful it is to see him illustrate this well-loved verse in a Thanksgiving book. I was lucky enough to see the illustrations months ago when Anderson did a signing at the Red Balloon in St. Paul, the Twin Cities leading children's bookstore. Anderson's whimsy brings the perfect touch to this tale. | I am an art teacher in an elementary school. Each year I read the series of three Angus books (in the order they were written) to my first graders when we are folding an origami puppy. They love each book. I introduce the Scottish Terrier by showing the encyclopedia entry about dogs. This gets them excited about dogs AND the encyclopedia. | I just finished this book for a book report at my school.I've read lots of books by young authors but never have they ever come close to Sword Bird. Nancy Yi Fan did a great job for her first book. I was atracted by the cover I mean who would think of making a book for fighting birds.The world needs to read this book because now we need peace. |

| I was assigned to read this in college... in order to study the scientific method and how it applies to elementary schools.
Indeed, science is a strong theme in this story, but what totally got me was the idea of a village coming together for a dream (so sue me, I'm a sucker for those kinds of stories).
