| I picked this book up at our local library on impulse. I didn't think it'd be a huge hit with my youngest (2 years old), but thought my early readers might enjoy it. Turns out I was half right. My 2, 4 and 7 year olds all love this book! My 10 year old volunteers to read it to them daily. After having a library copy for only a few days I realized this one needed to be added to our personal collection. | This charming little book takes a comfortable character that is at once independent and someone to whom kids can relate through good ol' fashioned anthromorphing. The stories are short, adorable, and well-crafted, and Lobel's illustrations are of course his best. |

| This is a wonderful book about how being different is ok. It's terrible that people want this book banned. There is nothing crude or offensive in this story and the illustrations are great. |

| Owen clearly has a problem. Kevin Henkes doesn't shy away from letting us know, through the illustrations, that his problem is a buttinsky neighbor.
Unfortunately, Owen's parents listen to their neighbor and keep taking her dubious advice about his blanket. Of course, Owen really *can't* bring his blanket to school - but his parents finally stop thinking of Mrs. Tweezers' view of things and come up with a bright idea - they turn Fuzzy into handkerchiefs! | it is for very young children. We just adopted an infant and purchased the book to eventually read to him, but also to show our nieces and nephews to explain adoption. My 5 year old niece asked why a kangaroo would adopt a baby bird instead of a baby kangaroo! LOL But, we still like the book and was a great way to initiate the conversation with the kids. |

| The illustrations are beautiful, and the meaning is wonderful. It is about helping others, which is a lesson I think a lot of us would benefit from. You definitely need to get this book. I read this book with my three year old, and he loved it, too. |
