| If this is the book that doesn't poke fun at all the pseudo-intellectuals out there! This is certainly a very cute way to introduce the blatant importance and use of reading to young children. It comes off a little preachy, but the animal characters are certainly hilarious. |

| When purchasing a book without reading every word, there is often a drawback.
While it is a cute book, both in illustration and imaginative narrative, there is a reference to wearing a hat for "church" which may present an issue for those for whom this is not appropriate. You can always make substitutes if need be. ~I |

| My 21-month old son absolutely loves the book!We found it at the public library and had to renew it TWICE before I decided to buy it! He can "read" it mostly by himself, and he enjoys touching each page because they all have a different effects (scalloped edges for flapping, a little hole for pecking, etc). |

| I love the photographs and the creative story. The cutest picture is of the little duck getting dried off by a blow drier! I think this is wonderful quality and very interesting for children.

| I bought this book just to have one more for the promotion, and wasn't sure if my daughter would like it. I thought she might be too young to "find" the duck, but I was wrong! At 21 months, she gleefully points to the duck every time I turn the page, and proudly exclaims "Ducky!"
We have read this book with and without words. Either way, she loves it, though I think she prefers hearing the "story" that goes along with finding the duck. We will definitely be purchasing more of this series. |
