| This is a nice little book, however, the cover is misleading. My daughter's favorite penguins are Emperor penguins, as shown on the cover, which is why I bought this book. Unfortunately the penguins we watch grow on the inside of the book are King penguins, which aren't nearly as cute as babies as Emperors are. |

| We start the day with Goodly, Lovely, Angel Neatly, and Perfect singing "Sunrise on the Iceberg." Of course Tacky is sleeping in. He wakes up with his trade mark "What's Happening?" and slaps everybody on the back.

| The CD in English IS abridged. We first discovered Plop on cassette, and it ran 1 hour. This CD runs 20 minutes. It remains a delightful, short bedtime story for my 6 year old who has it memorized, but it IS abridged. I still would love to locate a truly unabridged CD that has the detail of the cassette. |

| This book is WONDERFUL. The kind that makes you get that little ache in your chest, that only a real "awww" children's story can do. This is a story about a Robot who no longer has a heart, and is very empty feeling, who takes in a tired bird into the spot in his chest that his heart used to occupy, in the middle of winter. The bird makes him feel alive and he carries it south, a journey it may not have been able to make on its own.
