| We ordered two copies, as gifts. They were supposed to be in new condition, and they didn't look used, but they were dirty, scratched, and had marks from a black marker on one outside edge of the pages. We had to throw the covers away and were embarrassed to be giving them as gifts. |

| Hey, this is a mildly entertaining book. It's an action/adventure sort of story with cute little owls. But the obvious deviations from owls' natural history are too much to ignore! This book (later books are worse but this initiates things) distorts natural history in an attempt to make owls look better: it makes owls seem very intelligent when in fact owls are some of the stupidest birds. | book! The pictures are wonderful, and the story itself is sweet and simple with lovely rhyming. My son loves it! He is now 3. If I could just give a 1/4 star less I would. I still believe this is a book worth adding to your children's home library. The only problem I found is the illustrator decided to draw a lioness instead of a lion. His roaring lion has no mane. The story indicates a lion in 'his den.' |

| A wonderfully written retelling/sequel to the classic Little Red Hen story. This time, the Little Red Hen makes that kid-pleaser, a pizza.
What really makes this a must-have is the incredibly detailed collage-style illustrations. Kids can look at this book over and over and find something new on each page every time.
