| Mr. Bogle makes some valid points about the industry he helped shape. The insights he shares shed light on just how we got to the mess we are in today. If I had to fault the book it would be for spending to many pages on his personal life and accomplishments. I understand that he wanted to illustrate his credentials but I believe he could have done so briefly and then expanded his discussion of the financial industry. |

| I had great hopes for this book, but my hopes were doomed to disappointment. Very little is known about the Hemmingses, and it could all have been conveyed in about 200 pages. The 800 pages that one is forced to wade through are, sadly, not worth the effort.

| Stuck in an airport with a flight delay, I ventured to the bookstore to pick up a book for my husband and myself. | An intriguing and thought provoking read. This book is more than just a biography or epilogue on the life of Chris McCandless. The author does a great job of tracing the last 2 years of McCandless' life while also setting other examples of man vs. wild at counterpoint.

| What a great book. I'm trying to somehow delay finishing it, because I'm enjoying it so much. It has seriously affected my outlook on creativity, self-expression, artistry, chiseling your craft and all those wonderful things. Steve writes incredibly well. What a talent he is.
