| It's hard to review this book, as pretty much everyone is reading it anyway.
The writing style is engaging, clear, and interesting. Part of this is because Mr. Alter chose to use extremely short chapters, some only four or five pages long, to make the book seem to read faster. I'm not sure he succeeds in bringing his subject to life on the page. | I wish everyone would listen to this. It talks about many differant areas that goverment interacts in our lives and the seen and unseen consequences. Dr. Paul is articulate in a way that most Conservatives are not. His insightfulness is inspiring to anyone I know that listens, because Freedom is a powerful message. |

| For starters, this is not BK's most well written book. However, I have traveled with her (metaphorically) by way of her novels, appearance on NOW as well as a journey of a family, so I found it to be delightful. I also purchased this book in the autumn of the year and read a bit from her Thanksgiving season to others at a meditation gathering. I was inspired by the book and the love that shines through it. | The book really excels in the first third, the detail about Liverpool and John's early life were fascinating and well presented. I also enjoyed how Norman kept an eye on John and Paul as working musicians - details about how they peppered their early songs with "you" or "me" in the titles as they thought that assured their hit status - gave the more well trodded material some new angles for me.

| My husband and I listened to the CD while he was driving our RV. He's a great driver, but still, it's hard to overcome convulsions and tearing when at the helm of a 40,000 lb bus. We listened to the rest over several parked evenings - for our own safety. If you insist on listening to the CD, rather than reader the book, I highly recommend not doing so in a moving vehicle! |
