| I've been a habitual reader of the The Daily Coyote blog for about a year. I was very excited to get the back story behind the wonderful pictures and the tantalizing prose "updates" on the goings-on of Shreve, Charlie, Eli, Ranger and Cloe.

| As someone who lives in Beijing and has been part of the East Asian Studies scholastic community for years, I can honestly say that this book sums up everything my mountains of pretentious textbooks and Dashan-esque snooty white dudes have ever said about life in China. | I borrowed the original from a friend and worked with it a couple of years ago. I bought the tenth anniversary edition because this year I was determined to get beyond my midlife crisis and I couldn't find this book in the library. Of course I saw the related titles in Amazon.com, and looked them up. I kind of wish Amazon and other online stores had a discreet way of indicating the order of the titles in a series. | As a person outside of the financial industry, I found the book to reveal an interesting glimpse into the history of the most venerated firm in Wall Street, from its humble inception to the present days. | A great book telling it like it was and still is today. I was in the USN during this same time as a Navy Pilot on the USS Ranger. I met the Col. at a MOH book signing and watch him on IMUS in the morning. I hope he writes another book. john manstrom, ga.

| An excellent biography on the most convertersial, and one of the most important, founding fathers. The book covers nearly every aspect of Hamilton's life and shows how brilliat he really was. It gives a fair and balanced view of the great man. Although Chernow uses some very difficult words, I would reccomend this to anyone. |

| This was the first David McCullough book I ever read, a gift from a favorite aunt who knew and was fond of some descendents of TR's mother's family, the Bullochs. Though I was not yet a fan of non-fiction, this book changed my tastes. It's as readable as good fiction, with the added satisfaction of being a true story. David McCullough has a real gift for getting inside the lives of his subjects and making them human, and though he certainly chose a complex and interesting character in TR, this book is also largely about American social history and Roosevelt family history.
