| Scahill has obviously never been in the military or in a crisis area. He only has a rabid anti-christian, anti-conservative view and is blind to any good or benefit that organizations such as Blackwater can provide. He is entitled to his views, but nowhere in the nearly 400 pages of this book does he offer alternatives to companies such as Blackwater. The truth is Blackwater and companies like them DO provide essential services faster and cheaper than the government can provide them.

| As a parent that struggled with my own teenager - after reading Beautiful Boy I don't feel I could compare to what David Sheff endured with Nic and the way he put it into words; words that only a parent that has experienced difficult times can feel deep down - is nothing short of amazing.

The book also includes the stories of Dennis Fritz, implicated in the same murder, and a couple other people who faced similar charges while being innocent. Ron narrowly escaped the death penalty. This is a gripping story for anyone interested in the death penalty etc. Ron is an unlikely hero with severe psychological, drinking and drug issues. | We complain about our lives so many times a day.. And most of the times it's not even something really serious. This book shows you a girl that even going through such hard times, she faces it all in a peculiar way.. Of course she has her outbreaks as everyone (specially in confinement) would have but it's so... Try it! It's a must-read for all ages, but particularly for the young people. |

| This book certainly adds to my knowledge and understanding of colonial history. Cokie Roberts has added a useful dimension by concentrating on the women married to our early presidents and showing us, through the language of their letters that they were as courageous, politically astute, willing to sacrifice, and devoted to promoting the strength of our new nation as their husbands. | Only knowing what little they teach you in grade school about this man, i bought this book to learn a little more. This is a good book to do this. I found after reading this that i really like this great man. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get a quick glimpse of Mr. Lincoln.

| The book was OK. I finished it. There was nothing I would call groundbreaking in this tome. He's an engaging writer in his own way (sory of reminds me of a poor-man's Bill Bryson).
Strangely enough, the front cover states, "Nonreligious Thoughts On Christian Spirituality". This is untrue. Take, for example, the last paragraph: "...But what song will you sing when your soul gets set free?...If you haven't done it in a while, pray and talk to Jesus...Ask Him to forgive you of self-addiction, ask Him to put a song in your heart." | Roger Moore has produced a charming memoir of his life and experiences in film, devoting long sections to stories taken from his time on "The Saint" and "Maverick" and, of course, playing his most notable role, James Bond. Moore has an easy way with a story, filling the pages with his light sense of humor and charisma. He doesn't go into a lot of depth in any area, which makes for a fast and breezy read.

| Wow, I read this book because my mom always called us kids "little heathens" and we are from rural Iowa, so had to check out this book. If nothing else but to completely clarify what a heathen is when used in an endearing context.
First, I read it on my kindle, then bought a copy for my mom (she loved it), she then recommended it to her sisters, who bought copies, then I bought a copy for my cousin for Christmas when I got that copy i looked through it and the pics are so great it is a shame I read it first on Kindle.
