| It's a very interesting book. However I've been into reincarnation and searching for the spiritual meaning of life for so long I wonder why I bought this book. It's an excellent primer and if you're interested in the concept of reincarnation a great first to fifth book to read. And having been written by a psychiatrist, from Columbia no less, someone who was really never into past lives, it is even more exciting as it takes you along to his awakening as he is forced to drop his pre conditioning to admit that reincarnation ... | There are some good stories in this book, and pages 90-91 are worth the price of the book alone. I was up reading this late at night, and I was crying I was laughing so hard at the story being told. It is fun to read behind the scene stories of what my favorite band was up to back in the day. I was a little kid in the 80s and I've been a Guns n' Roses fan since day 2 when I first heard them. So far I love the book. | Who doens't like a great dog story? I know I do. Rescuing Sprite is just that. I admire Mark Levin and the love he has for his dogs Pepsi and Sprite. It takes a special family to adopt an older dog.
I found most of the novel to be general and generic discriptions of his life with the dogs, and I wish we got to know more about who the dogs were and some of the adventures with them. I feel like it was missing that for the reader- the essence of who the dogs were. We all love our dogs, but it's missing the things that make books like ... Read More: |

This book taught me so much and I carry it as a sort of life guide...when I feel I'm forgetting the lesson I just refresh myself. This is my most prized book and I still have it near after 10 yrs. | The subtitle suggests that this is a memoir about having Asperger's syndrome. Actually, it's a book about a guy who grew up in a wildly dysfunctional family, who had a series of adventures, and who turned out okay. Many of his idiosyncrasies, however, have nothing to do with Asperger's. His Asperger's isn't even particularly salient in this memoir. What stuck out for me was his obsession with practical jokes, some quite elaborate, all apparently executed because Robison derives enormous enjoyment from humiliating people.
