| I bought this based on other reviews for my soon to be 8 year old neice. I read it and she is going to love it. Very excited to promote the old the idea of "girl power" because there is still gender bias in the classrooms and peer pressure. |

| This book was recommended to me, and i bought it and it sat on my shelf for a time. I got it down the other day and started reading and could not put it down. It was amazing.
I was brought back to so many memories of the deep south and the attitudes, (that still are now today) prevailing in that time. I admire this man's courage so much. | Yellow Star is excellent. The book is written in first person, from the authors interviews of her aunt who was one of the only children who survived the Lodzer Ghetto. I was deeply moved by her writing, not only as an avid reader, but as a person who lost an extensive family in Lodz during WW2 .
This book is recommended reading fr anyone who wants to now what happened during those horrific times. Manny Litwak |

Different Like Coco is a perfect book to illustrate one of the dead horses I am constantly beating, though I didn't realize it when I first put the book on the to-be-read list. The point? That message books are, with exceptions so few they don't matter in the greater scheme of things, infinitely inferior to books written with no overarching message in mind. | When I encounter a dull book like this one that begs a reader's indulgence but offers nothing in exchange, that bores until the face hurts from yawning, I naturally assume the author is an Obama voter. But wait, now, wait. Let this special brand of author explain in his own words what I mean.

| My children and I just adore this book. What a lovely collection of stories all heavily demonstrating solid virtues that are Biblically rooted, not worldly. My children, ages 5 and 4, request that several stories be read time and time again. This book will grow with us through the years; they are no where near growing out of it.

| I really wanted to love this book. After all, the narrator is a ginger tabby (my favorite color and type of cat) and the subject is Pope Benedict XVI (a learned and compassionate man), who, as titular head of the Roman Catholic Church, is one of the most highly revered men on the planet.
