| It was a well written story. Unfortunately, there were a ridiculous number of grammar and spelling errors as well as a couple incorrect facts that really devalued the book for me. I couldn't read 10 pages without seeing a mistake like "the the". I was especially disappointed by these errors since it was the special 30th Anniversary reprint of the book. | This is an excellent book and truly goes into the depth and breadth of who Malcolm X really was/is. The more you read it, the more you understand the greatness and wisdom of this self educated man who traveled the world and sat with kings and queens and royalty and was able to dialog and debate with the best of them. | There is something for everyone in this book. It can be difficult to find a non-fiction story, particularly an autobiography, told in a way that will fascinate the very young. This book does just that - but fascinates the more mature reader as well - including grade school students and adults. The story of Mr. Bentley is told in a very charming way with warm and pleasing pictures, and easy to read and follow text. You could learn quite a bit just by reading the story line. | This book was alright... The style it was written in was unique, yes...but I'm not sure I was fond of it. There was a lot of summing up involved in it as well...he seemed to go into detail about using drugs and then just summed up the outcome, it was a little strange. Near the end of the book I had no sympathy for him it just vanished...he's very arrogant. In the end I pushed myself to really finish reading because I was already halfway through. | Nelson Mandela's life and actions are an inspiration! "Long Walk to Freedom" should be read by every person alive. There is so much to learn from this book. Mandela gives us hope that the humankind can do better. He shows the path of peace and hope instead of hatred and revenge. |

| My 9 year old is obsessed with the Jonas Brothers, He wants to BE a Jonas Brother. He has some attention issues, so it's good to see him reading SOMEthing. I, (the mom) haven't actually read the book, so I don't know any details. |

| I grabbed this book off the rack at my local bookstore in Silicon Valley and rummaged over the dramatic illustrations for many months before actually reading the book. I showed it to so many people before I actually started reading it from cover to cover. While I don't consider myself a died-in-the-wool baseball fan, I did read "The Glory of Their Times" (which many consider one of the classics of early baseball) and would rate this book well beyond that because of the visual impact of the illustrations. | I've been a Bond fan since my Dad used to take me to the public library so I could take out the hardback versions of Fleming's master spy.
I honestly like this book, although it IS for a younger audience. The cutaway views of the "Bondmobiles" and "Little Nellie" are well rendered and make for a detailed insight behind the sheetmetal. I would have liked to have seen a newer edition, featuring Brosnan's last film as 007...DIE ANOTHER DAY. I think the VANQUISH and the Jaguar would have only added to the fun aspect of this book. ...
