| My son just finished reading this and I read it after him. It was a quick read and really tried to show all the dimensions of the ruler Genghis Khan. I look forward to other books in this series coming out in paperback. We bought a paperback copy of this one through the Scolastic school book order. |

| I've read many accounts of the holocaust throughout my 68 years ...and thought, perhaps,this particular story might be a good introduction to this time in history for my granddaughter. | There are lots of great details about Johnny Appleseed in this book. We just happened to read it during September, so we got a pleasant surprise that we were close to Johnny's birthday. My 6yr old son enjoyed using our wall map of the U.S. to track Johnny's path from Massachusetts to Indiana (on foot! A point not lost on my son who loves to go on walks).

The pages include a short amount of text and usually a sketch to accompany it. This is a quick read and provides accurate information; however, it is appropriate for the age group.
