| I have a half class set of this book, along with others in the series. I use this as a class assigned book, and have found it to be an excellent way to start the year. The writing is engaging, entertaining and informative. We end each week's reading with a corner book talk which always proves lively and fun. |

When Squanto was young white men came to his village and he went to London with them. Then he wanted to go back to his village so he was took back to it with Charles Robin a friend of his. If you look at the bibliography of "The Wild Blue" you will notice that many of the sources are interviews he has done with many of the characters in the book, along with other primary source materials. | First Kids is a book with biographies about all the first kids. There are also facts about the White House, kids who help their dads in the White House, and stuff the Presidents liked to do. I'm nine years old and I liked the book a lot because it's interesting learning about the kids of the Presidents instead of just the President. | The "Who Was..." series is a wonderful way to get kids to read about history. They'll learn different & interesting things in these books they won't get anywhere else. My children asked for them for Christmas! They can't put them down. I homeschool and these are a great tool for learning.
