| I bought this for my autistic son when he was small as a way to help engage him. We sang and read together every night for months. It left such an impression on me, that when I discovered that my son had lost the CD, I became a little panicky. I really think Philadelphia Chickens is destined to be a children's classic. | My son is 3 years old and he just recently started to show interest in tracing. So, I started him out with Kumon maze book and this book. He absolutely loves it!! The pages in the book are easy to understand and very simple. Simple enough for a child of the indicated age on the front cover of the book. The quality of the paper is very sturdy, it doesn't rip easily and you can erase over and over, there would be no wear and tear on the sheets. | This is truly a wonderful collection of classic children stories if you want to have great variety but have space or money issues. As another reviewer stated, it's ideal for travel or to explore new children stories and decide which ones to buy in a separate and full edition.

| My 4-year-old and 2-year-old LOVED "Pink Delicious," as they called it. Well, of course I brought home this book. I wish I hadn't.
It is such a negative book about kids being mean and calling each other names. The other book was so positive-- what kind of message, exactly, is this sending my children? If I want them to watch bratty, snotty kids, I'd let them watch Hannah Montana. It also uses words such as "hate" and "ugly," which I don't think are appropriate for these types of books...obviously ... Read More: |

| My dd and I had fun looking at the great typical Ricahrd Scarry pictures, and then also enjoyed following along in the pictures to see where one man's hat has ended up after it blew away @ the airport. We have read it many times and she still likes the "searching". |

| This book is the best one I found on this topic for very young and innocent children. My daughter scares very easily so I needed something that would not scare her but help her understand she needs to keep her privates covered. This helped but we still have occasions when she forgets to keep the dresses DOWN! LOL |

| This book is good but a little long per page. Being a preschool teacher I look for fewer words per page and bright pictures. It had the pictures, just too many words. It did tell the children what they would be doing in preschool. |
