| This quickly became my favorite Dr. Suess when it first came out. I couldn't find it available everywhere. I then discovered it on Amazon and it's one of my favorite children's gifts. It's not all fluffy, it speaks to every mood and I love the non traditional art work in the book. |

| We first saw this book in a kindermusik class this previous winter, and my two-year-old son seemed to enjoy when it was read aloud. We decided to order the book to help our son get into the habit of bedtime stories. Now this is his number one favorite book to have read at bedtime. Our son loves being able to interact with the lyrics as we sing. The book is very durable and has held up well to a lot of abuse. I couldn't recommend this book more. |

| Fun and light hearted view from Dora's perspective how fun and important it is to visit a dentist. This book familiarizes young ones with the experience of visiting the dentist, from the tools used to details of the entire examination. My son likes the story and asks me to read it often. |

| Sandra Boynton does it again. She knows the routine, she sets it up perfectly and bedtime is easier because of her efforts. Our kids and grandkids loved these stories in a poetic rhyme. Now we are giving them out as Godparents to our neat friends we help mentor along life's way. Wonderful books! |

| I absolutly loved this book!!! As with other readers, I also felt that it was a bit "much" for my 5yr old. I mean, it does say stuff like "a man putting his hands down a little girls panties..." However, even though it is a bit much, I believe that I would rather teach my daughter about these things now rather than end up with her being abused later because she didnt know what was going on. | Boynton books have been really hit or miss with us. This is one of the better ones.
My daughter enjoys having it read to her, and we can tolerate reading it. She enjoys the rhyming and the hippo. The thought that the book was sending some kind of negative message never crossed my mind before reading some of the reviews here. |

| Honestly, I can't think of a way to describe this book without just typing the entire story into this review.
But it is very memorable, and I certainly loved it as a child. Leo Lionni is the classic children's author whose name you never remember but whose books you most definitely read as a kid. Don't pass this one by without at least checking it out. |

| We started reading this book at 5 months. By 8 mos my son would point to familiar objects like the spoon with food on it. It is long enough to have substance, but short enough to hold the attention of the youngest reader. Minimal words, mostly drawn pictures. My son is a year now and still likes it; this one features common phrases like "Hold still," and "Go to sleep!" |

| Do you like pig books? If you do you will like Olivia and The Missing Toy by Ian Falconer. I like this book because I think its funny.
It's about a pig that is named Olivia. In the story Olivia the pig puts her doll down on her bed, looks away, then looks back and it is gone. She looks and does not find it. I'm not going to tell you more so go pick it up at a store near you and find out what happens. You will be surprised who took her doll. |
