| I think this is a Richard Scarry Jr book rather than the dad, but it's still classic Scarry, charming and enjoyable. It's no Cars and Trucks or Busy Busy World, nor is it designed to educate your child about firefighters or fire stations, but it's a quick, cute and enjoyable read. |

| I bought this book when my daughter was first interested in the potty (about a month ago - she was 20 months). We have read it quite a few times and she likes seeing the real pictures of the little girl using the potty. She has since started using the potty every night before bed and usually in the morning too. This book is nice because it doesn't have cartoon pictures, it is real life stuff and it is full of fun rhymes. I would recommend this book highly. |

| I was surprised to discover that the ONLY type of activity in this book is tracing letters and writing practice. My 4 3/4 year old needs some practice identifying lowercase letters, but isn't really into writing yet. Other workbooks we have done (cheaper ones from the drugstore) break up writing with other activities for variety. We'll save this one for later, until he's ready for writing practice. The quality of the book is excellent though, it has nice paper and is colorful. |

| Oh, Ms. Boynton, what happened? Your first Pookie book was so cute, so clever, so insightful about little kids... and now this? The rhythm, rhyme and meter are off, and the story is totally inane. I'm disappointed on every level, and it's so much worse that this is a Pookie book and not just some other Boynton character or animal. | This book is really cute. If your kids like Blue, it is a great book. My son is 17 mos and likes to sit in his chair and look at the pictures.
It is a pretty good bedtime book, which is the reason I bought it. I got sick of "Goodnight Moon". It starts out like the show does- shot of Steve's house, "Hey there..." Then it goes through Blue's whole bedtime routine. then it says "Good Night, its time to go to bed now..." It is cute and I recommend it. |

| There are ten dogs in this book. (And one cat.) Each dog (and cat) has its own way of making lots of noise. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to make a public nuisance of yourself by BARKING AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS! AROOFF! AROOFF! AROOFF!

| This book is good but a little long per page. Being a preschool teacher I look for fewer words per page and bright pictures. It had the pictures, just too many words. It did tell the children what they would be doing in preschool. |

| While my girls, ages 2 and 3, don't request this book as much as Chugga Chugga Choo Choo, by the same author, they do enjoy reading it.
The lively rhymes in the book tell the story of a dump truck that is stuck in the road, and the passersby who try to help the truck get out of the hole. In the meantime, some sneaky gophers are emptying the load out of the back of the dump truck.
