| I purchased this book for my "just turned" 3 year old daughter before a 5 hour car ride. She loved this book - she did the mazes straight through to the end in one sitting. This is definately a wonderful beginner's book to mazes. Highly recommended! |

| I remember when I was in High School PBS did a series of presentations from inside Russia. Suddenly there were humans on the other side of the curtain of the Cold War. I remember reading an art book shortly after that about artists who hid out in basements and attics. | I bought this book for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. She has lots of older cousins ranging from 3-12 (mostly boys) and everyone was excited to get their face, arm, hand or leg painted. There are wide variety of ideas with set-by-step instructions. They were all very easy to do. If you make a little mistake the kids didn't seem to even notice, and if you make a big mistake the paint wipes off easily. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of paint that comes with it. I'm sure I will be using this set for years to come. |

| I loved this book. Although I buy Blue Balliett books for my grandchildren, I read them myself first. I have found each to be captivating. The plots are tight, the settings vivid, and the characters real, making the suspension of disbelief not at all difficult. (The grandkids like them too.)
I especially enjoyed The Calder Game. I loved Balliett's opening description, her use of the Calder mobile, and her excellent writing. BSH |
