| I have a large collection of these dover adult coloring books. I must das these illustrations are darling. Being an adult I still can enjoy some fantasy in my life.
I recommend these for relaxation. I find that Primsacolor colored pencils work the best for shading and making wonderful creative creations. Highly recommend these books. | Oh, Ms. Boynton, what happened? Your first Pookie book was so cute, so clever, so insightful about little kids... and now this? The rhythm, rhyme and meter are off, and the story is totally inane. I'm disappointed on every level, and it's so much worse that this is a Pookie book and not just some other Boynton character or animal. | My two year old sings this story in her class/daycare. She will sing this song every time she sees or hears a firetruck. I've never heard it and I know the words! I will be ordering it though! |

| After reading the raving reviews I ordered the book - I needed ideas and help because I'm a music teacher who is now teaching elementary music, yet I had limited experience in that area. I couldn't afford the Kodaly books, so I thought this would be a good start.
What a disappointment! A lot of the games involve blindfolding the students, which isn't appropriate in classrooms anymore. On top of that, the games don't actually involve the kids singing much - there are rhythm games, but good ones are very ... Read More: |

| I first learned of Blue Balliett with the publication of her second book "The Wright Three". As a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, I was intrigued by the premise. I have not read the previous book, "Chasing Vermeer", which features Calder and Petra as amateur sleuths, but I definitely will after finishing this book. Balliett is a gifted storyteller, perhaps too intelligent for run-of-the-mill children's books, so it's a good thing that "The Wright Three" is anything but common.
