| This books is brilliant. If you have a child who doesn't like reading, try this book. It has great rhyming, fantastic pictures and is very cheeky. | I gave this to my 9 year old niece, who likes to draw. I had a book very like this one (probably an earlier printing) when I was small. She loves it! She particularly likes the way it helps her to draw the "difficult" things--proportions, perspective, etc. She has already gotten a lot of use from the book and I am glad I gave it to her. It's not a bit outdated it seems, although it was originally published 50 years ago. |

| I first learned of Blue Balliett with the publication of her second book "The Wright Three". As a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, I was intrigued by the premise. I have not read the previous book, "Chasing Vermeer", which features Calder and Petra as amateur sleuths, but I definitely will after finishing this book. Balliett is a gifted storyteller, perhaps too intelligent for run-of-the-mill children's books, so it's a good thing that "The Wright Three" is anything but common.

| Excellent book. I have the Draw 50 Cats as well. I do watercolor and this book provides quick reference for drawings under paint. Very helpful to artists and those who know how to draw. Also will be helpful to children and novices to drawing. |

| I loved this book. Although I buy Blue Balliett books for my grandchildren, I read them myself first. I have found each to be captivating. The plots are tight, the settings vivid, and the characters real, making the suspension of disbelief not at all difficult. (The grandkids like them too.)
I especially enjoyed The Calder Game. I loved Balliett's opening description, her use of the Calder mobile, and her excellent writing. BSH |

| My children love these books, of them this seems to be their favorite. I thought actual art may be boring for them but they seem thrilled with it. This may be because of the tasteful touch and feel aspect of each picture. Whatever the reason, Yeah! A great way to expose them to actual art at a very early age!! |

| I believe that a narrator can really make an audio book and Flo Gibson does such a fabulous job of the voices of the characters in "The Wind in the Willows". This is one of my son's all time favorite books and audio books. I highly recommend it. |
