| I have been a huge DiCamillo fan for many years but, Louise, The Adventures of a Chicken is a huge disappointment. The book reads like a choppy, dry, disjointed work produced by a middle schooler. Please stick to your beautiful and well-developed chapter books, Ms. DiCamillo. |

| What a charming book about people caring for wildlife and the forest. The photography is gorgeous and the story is beautiful yet simple. Two children have learned to take care of the wildlife in forest in the winter by building a snowman using vegetables and seeds. The animals visit the snowman and eat their fill and the children refuel the snowman with more items. | Shel Silverstein's poems are always truly a delight. Some of the collections, however, contain poems that are not quite appropriate for the very youngest listeners. A Giraffe and a Half IS targeted at the youngest audiences.
As the poem goes on, the titular giraffe is exposed to a more riotously funny situation on every page (a rose on his nose, glue on his shoe, etc.) My kids were laughing hard, and completing the rhyming phrases by the time the tired (and ludicrously attired) giraffe is rescued from visiting ... | I happen to love this book. Most other parents will probably agree with me that they have gone through the exact same thing Pookie's mom went through...trying to find out why Pookie is sad by asking countless questions. The final response is perfect and makes me smile every time I read it. Not sure my daughter completely understands the concept behind the book, but she points out everythig in the pictures. If you want a book you'll enjoy reading then this is a good one. Hope your child will grow to like it. |

| My mom got this for my son because babies see black & white first. This was the first book he really looked at while I was reading to him and the first he reached out to touch. At four months he still LOVES it. I love to watch him look back and forth at the pages. This is now a favorite gift for friends with babies. |

| This is absolutely the best children's book. I give it as a gift to all the "wee ones" in my family. Their parents have each told me how much their children love the book. It has rhyme, presents emotion, and has a happy ending all while sharing a good moral lesson on how to treat others.
It is the best of Sandra Boynton. |

| I am an elevan year old girl. I am just using my moms account for this. This book was my favorite so far.I am now reading the sixth one.I was either eight or nine when I tried to read the first one. When we went to the library to get it, they did not have numbers on the side so we accidentally got the second one. This book is great and has an exciting, dangerous twist at the end.
