| If you are familiar with the book, you know the story. This book has kind of become a family tradition. It was time to pass it on to a great-nephew...and the bunny was a bonus. (bunny is child-safe...no buttons). If you're looking for a sweet story to read at bedtime (over and over again) so it is eventually asked for, this is a great selection.

| I came across a book called "Dog Breath" by Dav Pilkey. It's the SAME EXACT story as "Walter" but the dog has bad breath. This dog also fends off burglars and is saved from being given away. I was horrified. This book was published in 1994. Walter in 2001. Way to steal someone else's story for your own profit!!! |

| This is a 16 page board book with seven stories in it. Two of the pages are the table of contents.
The stories are, of course, short. In fact, they are "short short", as advertized! If your kid has moved past board books and is now well into the world of long books like Green Eggs and Ham or, dare I say it, War and Peace, this one might be a little *too* short short for him or her. | My 18-month old carries this book around with him during the day. The photos keep him busy and he loves turning the pages.
There really isn't a story to the book. Just animal noises. Fun to read and I've heard him practicing the noises when he looks at the book himself. Cute book. I'm glad I bought it. |

| This is apparently a classic camp song - not one I ever heard growing up, though.
My nieces request this book a *minimum* of once a week (and usually, once they request it, they want me to read it over and over again to boot!), and we love it every time. Then they often want me to help them reenact the story - I'll be the bear, then they'll be the bear, then the teddy bear will be the bear....
