| My 2nd graders are in love with this book. Most of the pictures are drawings...so not too scary for even younger kids. But there is one real picture of a mummy, which is, of course, my kids' favorite page! Take a fascinating topic and well-done pictures with interesting text and you've got yourself a great book! |

The pop ups are a bit fragile and some are a little difficult to open at first. Not reccomended for little children. The pop ups are easy to tear and break. |

| A surprisingly accurate and detailed childrens book on gladiators that avoids most of the inaccuracies found in books of this genre. Excellent illustrations. I highly recommend it to any child who wants a good introduction to the idols of the arena. |
