| This has to be the dumbest book I have ever read. Perhaps it is due to the fact that my 3-year-old didn't 'get it'. You start to read the book and it says if you laugh you 'must' return to the front of the book (by order of the cranky crock). Fortunately for us my son and I found no humor in any of the situations so we didn't have to go back, but if you do have to 'go back' there are no instructions as to what to do then. | My 7 year old loved this book. He liked it so much that he asked to order another of the Mr. and Mrs. Green books. What was super about this book is that it throws in fun information about many subjects (math, art, and vocabulary) without the reader even noticing it! Pretty, happy illustrations, too. |

| I bought this book for a recent preschool Mardi Gras party. I found the book informative & easy to understand. Even the youngest of my listeners (Age 3)were able to enjoy the story, as I supplemented it with visuals (beads, doubloons, masks). My only complaint would be the illustrations. I found the pictures to be more like an artist's view of the Mardi Gras scene, rather than easy to decipher, kid friendly pictures. |

| My children and I loved this book. The illustrations are beautiful and the message was inspiring. My children (ages 3 and 4) did not get the full text the first time through, I found that as we started to read it they asked more questions. Why was the little boy counting pebbles, why was the grandmother not eating... It lent a great background for discussion of what it means to do selfless acts. Such a refreshing change from faires, princesses and superheroes. |

| My 4 year old loves this series of books from Suzanne Tate. It is a great way to teach them about nature while having fun, and learning to read at the same time. I learned a lot from these books also. |
