| my teacher in my school made us read thsi book and i thought it was pretty boring in the beggining but once i duginto it i found it really exiting,where else could you find a book about a girl who owns a gigantic wood that amazingly has a magical spring and get kidnapped by total strangers and blah blah bla im probably spoiling the whole book for everyne who wans to buy this book,sorry. and plus this whole thng was for my homework so yeah im done. | Great writing - very vivid images - very ingrossing stories. I loved the books. But I am 47 years old. If you wouldn't let your kids watch an R rated movie, think hard before you let them read these books.
These books are much more realistic and frightening than would be appropriate for children. And the messages are terrifying. In the first book of the series, the protagonist is 'tested' by 'good adults' with fear and intimidation. 'Bad children' are killed. Errors are punished with death. I ... Read More: |

| These Manga books are just a quick, easy way for the authors of the
Warrior Cat series to make some extra bucks. The books are rip-offs. In this particular one, we see the "good side" of the murderous Tigerstar and learn what a hyprocrite he was to fall for a kittypet, father children with her, and make her hide the truth about herself. | I love the idea for the book, but the author should have been more selective in choosing rhymes that are appropriate for today's children.
I was disappointed to find rhymes such as these included: "Standing at the bar, smoking a cigar. Laughing at the donkey ha-ha-har!" "All in, a bottle of gin. All out, a bottle of stout." and "Johnny gave me apples, Johnny gave me pears, Johnny gave me fifty cents and kissed me on the stairs. | I gave three "girl" books to my granddaughter for her 10th birthday this summer. The Big Book of Girl Stuff is far and away her favorite. | Brilliant! Bought the whole set of 7 books for the kids (aged 8 & 10) and they loved them. The format is smaller than I remembered from my childhood but the kids didn't care. They read them over and over again. They also loved the Calvin and Hobbs books. |
