| This book shows kids through it's illustrations and text how they should act or repond to many situations(some stressful) they will encounter in daily life. Suggestions of what to do or what to say are given for each senario in a cartoon fashion and with subtext for explanation. My daughter for exammple is learning what a "sore loser" means and is trying to modify her behavior to be more like the nice girl in the book. | This book was perfect for our son who just turned 10 and was starting puberty. It answered every single question he may have wanted to ask us but was too embarrassed or afraid. I would recommend this book to every mother/parent who has a son & would recommend that you read it first. Some of the content will be a review for your son - other content will be new!! I am so glad I found this book- it really explained what was happening to his body. Everthing from pimples, shaving, jock itch, etc. |

| We found this to be an excellent first dictionary. Most things that you want pictures of do have pictures, and the pictures are very appropriate and have helpful captions (usually a sentence describing the picture). The definitions manage rather well to explain the meanings of simple words in even simpler words. Also, with 5,000 words, almost all of the words in a beginning reader's reading vocabulary will be included. |

| "The Story About Ping" is a book I have read to my children and now my grandchildren. It is a simple but fun tale about a small duck who gets separated from his family. In watching the events that occur to Ping before he is reunited with his family, we see many real life elements of the Chinese culture. This is a great book that could lead to a discussion about the importance and love of all family members, as well as the historical and cultural past of China.

| Repetition is a good tool for teaching kids to remember important lessons. This book does a good job of repeating that hands are not for hitting, and also suggests what hands ARE good for (holding hands to cross the street, etc.). My 4 year old loves this series of books and we refer to the text often in conversation with her to remind her of the important lessons. |
