| My daughter is almost 5 and is a pink freak! She won't leave the house unless she is wearng pink from head to toe. Needless to say, this book was a big hit for her. A fun story that girls will enjoy regardless of their love for pink! |

| This is a good book about the adventures Corduroy goes on in order to find a button. He *doesn't* find a button, but that's all right - a little (African-American, if that's relevant) girl takes him home anyway. "I like you just the way you are!"
I do find that Corduroy's dialog is a little sappy, and it's somewhat weird to me that he can actually talk to Lisa, but it's still a good book. |

| I used to read this book to my boys everynite when they were little. Now I have a 6 month old grandson of thought of this wonderful book for his parents to read to him. |

| We all know this book, no need for me to re-iterate the plot.
What makes it work, though, is that Dr. Seuss understood the importance of breaking the rules - something many of his imitators never grasp. He didn't stick to a rhyme scheme or a meter all the time, he varied it and dropped it when needed. That makes his books readable instead of mind-numbing - even when you're reading them for the 1000th time straight :) |

| Fancy Nancy is delightful & this book does not disappoint. One very clever note I wanted to point out to all of you parents reading this book to your daughters...Nancy's dad says the dog is a LaSalle Spaniel - if you turn back a couple of pages you'll see that the animal shelter is the "LaSalle Street Animal Shelter" - TOO cute (I missed it the first few reads ;-)) |

| This book was recommended by someone, I waited awhile before I purchased it, I finally found it at a Books-a-Million store, browsed through it and decided, I had to have it. My little boy is 6 years old and he loves the stories and illustrations. We read a couple every night at bedtime and I am learning again the older bible stories from my childhood as well. | My daughter loves Fancy Nancy books. I think the character is cute and perfect for little girls. This is a starter book, but I figured she could pass it on to younger friends and get them started on Fancy Nancy after she reads it. |

| I bought this book because I thought it was cute (the cover intrigued me). I took it to my classroom to share with my lst grade students. They got so excited about it that they thought our class should start a word collection. So I drug out old magazines & newspapers and we began to clip and save the most fascinating words we could find. Then we decided that we should try to invent some sentences just like Max did. | This is a great little book that has enough pages that my child was able to remain interested in it long enough so that he would sit on the potty for a few minutes.
