| For a while my daughter (22 months at the time of this review) had no interest in Dr Seuss, but slowly she is warming up to it. This book's board book format that she can carry around works for her better in this case. She is still indifferent to a big hardcover collection that we have, probably because she is not allowed to handle it by herself. | I got this for a baby shower gift for someone. I wanted to give something that could last. I ended up buying one for myself. It's a trip down memory lane reading the sweet stories and looking at the beautiful pictures. I hope my friend's baby has great memories growing up with these stories as I did. |

| I loved the Madeline books as a child, so when my daughter turned two I ordered this for her.... and it's truly one of her favorite books. The story is a classic, and the illustrations are as charming as ever! Thirty + years hasn't dimmed it's magic for me. |

| 'Totoro' was the first thought that entered my mind when I saw this book. The author must have had some influence from the animation and nothing wrong with that. It is a beautifully water colored book and the familiar stories that I've heard as a child. |

| The pictures are entertaining and the speaker captures the attention. My daughter is one to please adults, though. If your child is unruly, I'm not sure this book would work very much. A good reinforcer and fodder(sp?) for discussion. |

| My children, ages 6 and 4, both loved the book. The story line was cute, so they absorbed the lesson without really knowing there was a lesson to be learned! Of course, an otter tooted in the story, so what four year old boy wouldn't love it! I am bringing this into my preschool classroom to share with those children as well. |
