| I purchased the Magic Tree House audio set because my four-year-old daughter is always asking me to tell her stories. Sometimes, I just can't get my imagination going, so I thought this would fill in my blank moments. And, in fact, it has done a wonderful job of it. We play them in the car while driving around. They really captivate my daughter. The subject matter is very interesting to children: dinosaurs, mummies, castles, pirates. The stories increased her interest in these areas.

| I'd never read this book, so when I found it among the kids' books, I decided to give it a shot. And yes, I feel guilty for not having read it to my kids when they were small. Not to worry--I read to them a lot, just not this one, possibly because I wasn't familiar with it myself.

| As a student in middle school, one of our first assignments was to read "The Bungalow Mystery". When we were given the assignment, I primarily thought it was a book for girls. I also had the impression that it might be below my reading level, until I found myself looking up words I did not understand. From the very first sentence, I was hooked and enjoyed it until I finished, even though there were a few slow moving parts. | What a cute book! My kids love hearing me read FROGGY so they can respond with WHAT! The sounds after Froggy puts on a piece of clothing still makes my children laugh and we've been reading it off and on for over a year. This is a book that parents will enjoy reading also. |

| This is a good book for my 4th grade son. It is hard to find books on his reading level that hold his interest. The narator of the story is Hank the cowdog (also self proclaimed head of ranch security). The chapters are only 3 or 4 pages and give my son a sense of accomplishment for being able to read a couple of chapters each night.
Hank also has a few pronuciation problems, allowing the young reader to identify correct pronunciation and grammer. The stories are interesting and funny and have really improved my son's interest in ... Read More: |

There's been so many movies based on Treasure Island that it's almost impossible not to be somewhat familiar with the story. Stevenson shines here, managing to carefully craft a story for children that will also appeal to adults. | I do remember that this book Castle in the Attic along with The Hatchet were my two favorite books in my 10th year probably a little later. Now I know that for all of its childish elements its actually one of your more basic fantasy stories lonely child meets exiled knight who just so happens to need his help in fighting an evil wizard. The fact that I remember it all of these years later is a testament to its staying power.
Overall-I don't see any reason why it shouldn't still work today I doubt it has lost any of its punch. |

The story is about a boy(Omri) who finds a locked cupboard in a garbage can in the streets of London.
