| I haven't read any of the other Olivia books but this is one of the strangest childrens books I've ever read. Not a fan. |

| I bought this book for my grandson (8 mths old) as his dad had loved it when he was a boy and we had a teddy who wore overalls who we called Corduroy in honour of the little bear in the book. Even though the clothing of the little girl who rescues Corduroy from the shop is very dated, the story line is classic and my granddaughter of 2 and a half loved me reading it to her so obviously children don't take any notice of things like that. | They are Christmas presents, so I can't say for certain, but I believe my daughter will like them very much. The price was good, too. |

| I was thrilled to actually get this doll since "Julie" has been hard to find. I was disappointed that it was so small, but had I payed attention in the description, I'd realize the size. Since it is a gift, I didn't open the box, but the book will no doubt be tiny. Regardless, I'm happy with the product and hope it will be enjoyed by the little girl who is receiving it. |

| I have loved Samantha for years, the 18 inch doll was my childhood friend and I still carry a deep affection for her. So I had to have the 6 inch one too. It is a perfect replica to the larger doll. You won't be disapointed by this little beauty! Now that Samantha is retired she truely is a treasure! |

| This is - by far - the best children's Nutcracker book. Beautiful pictures, easy for young children to stay involved in (totally immersed). The magic the book relays is wonderful. I wish the pictures included a page or two that showcased all of the 'Sweets' dances, My daughter misses them. Also, to keep with current West Coast changes, we call the little girl Clara instead of Marie. |

| I read to my 6 year old boy every night. We'd just finished Brian Selznick's wonderful "The Invention of Hugo Cabret," so I was looking for more work by him. We came across The Doll People, and even though he only illustrated it, we gave it a try. The end result: It is excellent!
Ms. Martin and Ms. Godwin pace the story beautifully--filling it with humor, suspense and mystery. Mr. Selznick's illustrations are rich in detail--and really capture the moments so well. Though the reading level is ... Read More: |
