| Heartland Breaking Free by Lauren Brook is an excellent book. Amy's mom died and her mom's favorite horse is very sick and getting worse by the day. Business is running low and a famous show jumper (Lisa Stillman) is taken to Heartland, the horse farm. Amy's sister and her friend came up with an idea. Heartland would have an open house!

| I really liked this book. Even though I'm an older reader (52) who collects horse fiction, and its out of my age bracket, I found it to be very readable and it held my interest. Its a wonderful book for the young teen. The main character, Amy, learns some significant lessons in life after her mother dies in a tragic accident, and she is left to run the horse rescue by herself. | My daughter is a homeschooled 6th grader. Her passion is horses or anything that has to do with horses. I have her on a reading regimen with the Heartland series. She is really enjoying them. I am also excited that they are age appropiate with much detail. She is getting a lot out of them. |

| Like all the Heartland books, this one was good, but I was a little disapointed with it. It had a good ending, but I felt like the plot was a little overdone and got kind bored towards the middle. But don't let this book keep you from reading the others! I think the rest of Lauren's books are much better and a little more realistic. But this one is still worth reading. |

| I purchased 6 Heartland Series books for my 11 year old niece, she now has Books 1 - 16, she just loves them, I gave them as birthday gifts, and just little gifts for no reason (other than I know she loves to read) she is usally done with her gift book, and just waiting for me to deliver her next surprise. I personally have not read them, but she always tells me how much she loves them, and her mother agrees. |

| this book was well writen, i expesaly like this sries because of the info you can learn. I have one major problem though..... why did Amy brake up with Ty???!!!!!!!!!!!!????! it made me soooooooooooo sad!!!! and mad. it was totalty pointless, though it could make a great story if they got back togather. i read the next one so it seems that Amy is jmust waiting for it to happen, though they did need the break to date around. that would make it more realistic.
