| I purchased this book about two years ago and it has been worth every penny and more. I often just leave it on my desk for quick reference regardless of what stage in a project I'm in. I am currently a third year Architecture student and can see myself using this text well into my practice as some of my professors admittedly do in theirs. | I've probably read half a dozen "Dummies" books over the years and some are better than others. Eric Corey's green series are very well written complete with information and "how-to" explanations. This book includes plenty of tips and facts about solar technology, but comes up wanting if you are looking for how to apply these systems into a building. Good reference info. |

| This book should be a part of any woodworker's library. Criticisms pertaining to its superficiality may be valid; however, given its breadth, the inclusion of considerable detail is impractical. (Imagine an illustrated book on how to build a house . . . there will be some omissions.)
There are many excellent books on routers, planes, finishing techniques, etc. that you may wish to include in your library. |

| I bought this book because I am looking to renovate my house and I found it very useful. There are plenty of photos of the various details in the houses and a great explanation of how to achieve a similar look. It is an excellent source of ideas if you're looking to transform your home. |
