| I'm novice with LEGO Mindstorm
with this book i have a very good "step by step" procedure to build and understand this amazing toy. Pros: it uses simple lenguage and cover all sensors and actuators. Cons: the introduction for programming without graphical interface is confuse. |

| Spike Carlsen's "A Splintered History of Wood" is a book you will not easily put down. With a full set of notes, photographs, resources, a bibliography and complete index, it is a very well researched book that every woodworker or in fact anyone, should read. On top of all that, it's funny, informative and very readable.

| This is the first book I have purchased in my efforts to learn how to knit. I enjoy the history of knitting and the pictures of all the tools but I think more pictures/drawings would be useful. I bought an accessories pack but have never used it because I don't know how. I might have to find a separate book on that. | After a year of mediocre (at best) knitting books in 2008, this is one of the few I felt was worth my money and time. I am not crazy about all the patterns, but there are several I will definitely make. There are more to choose from than in most books (22 in all). I also really appreciated the detailed explanation of handpainted yarns. So far I haven't run into issues like "pooling" but when I do, this will be a great reference. |

| This is the best book I've read on knitting. Every conceivable question is answered even some you might consider as not so bright. This is a can't do without book especially for beginners and useful for advanced knitter.

| The only thing really good about this book is the title.
Almost everything in it is tacky and doesn't work well for anyone past college-aged. The book seems to be geared towards people with little craft experience and no sense of style. It's good for people who want 'character' and have very little budget but other than that, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I was very disappointed. |

| I have another 1 skien book , but not by this person, and its awful. I love this 1 skien book. It has many projects to choose from, and they are grouped by yarn weight, which I think is helpful. There is a little of everything in this book. |

| This book is jam packed with very useful information and lots of pictures. My son-in-law and his mom love it. She and I grew up on farms where much of this information was common practice.
